Switchback 25
The Switchback 25 is a simple touring backpack designed for cross-country skiing, day tours, and easy alpine terrain.
The design follows the CPS reduction principle: remove everything that does not serve the intended use. The pack body is built from a minimal number of panels and features only the elements needed for carrying essentials comfortably on the move.
A single large main compartment provides flexible storage, while a rolltop closure allows the volume to expand or compress depending on the load. Durable stretch pockets on the sides hold water bottles or small items, and the front zigzag cord offers quick external storage for clothing layers.
This prototype version includes several experimental details compared to earlier Switchback 25 models.
Features
- 25+ L main compartment
- Interior mesh pocket
- Rolltop closure with top compression strap

Prototype details
